Common yarrow Lachsschonheit (Achillea millefolium) is a sturdy perennial, whose blooms would decorate your garden all summer long. Earth-bound rosettes of dentate leaves, from which flowering stalks emerge, develop in spring. They usually grow 50-80 cm tall. The Lachsschonheit variety produces large, flat umbels that consist of tne pale pink or apricot blooms. This plant is ideal for naturalistic, rural and rustic gardens. You may also cut the flowers for dried bouquets.
Rhizomes should be planted in spring directly to the borders on a sunny site. This plant does not belong to the demanding ones, yet it prefers light, moderately fertile, permeable soil, preferably with basic reaction. Common yarrow requires fertilization with compost once a year, because it likes soils rich in humus. The "Lachsschonheit" variety is completely frost-resistant.
One package contains 10 rhizome of the "Lachsschonheit" common yarrow. The most important growing instructions have been printed on each package.
