Crimson Bottlebrush is a glamorous shrub or a tree which grows up to 1.5 metres in height. Scraping its young leaves produces a vivid, lemon aroma that cannot be mistaken for any other smell. However, the characteristic flowers of the plant are its true adornment. These flowers create outstanding, sanguineous ears, in shape resembling a brush that is used to clean bottles. In temperate climates, Crimson Bottlebrush is cultivated in pots.
Growing: this is a hardy variety which is little demanding in terms of soil and thrives in dry and fairly moist conditions; make sure the soil is not alkaline though, as it does not tolerate such a type. The plants flower from June to August. This variety is recommended be grown in planters.
