The Banana Splash daffodil (Narcissus) is a variety an exceptionally beautiful eye catching variety with a split corona. It stands out from the common daffodils not only with the ornamental value of its flowers, but with their size and the height of the up to 50 cm tall flowering stalks too. The Banana Splash unfolds its buds in April producing yellow-white flowers with decoratively corrugated sepals of the corona. This plant develops an erect and compact habit. Its charming flowers are framed by the lanceolate, narrow, dark green, erect leaves.
The narcissus bulbs should be planted at the end of summer and at the beginning of autumn, preferably in larger groups of 10 to 15 plants. The variety offered here does not have any special soil requirements, provided that the soil is permeable and moderately rich in the organic matter. The bicolour blooms of the Banana Splash variety look particularly great in company of the blue grape hyacinths, crocuses and the snake's head fritillary.
Each package contains 50 bulbs of the Banana Splash daffodil, sized at least 12 to 14 cm in circumference. The most important plant growing tips were included in the package information.
