The Eveline pompon dahlia stands out with creamy-white flowers that show a hint of pale purple. The plant that flowers from July to September becomes a head turner in virtually every garden corner. Lush, noble looking flowers develop on tops of about one metre tall stems. The Eveline dahlia belongs to those varieties that can bring back freshness to flower beds and compositions planted with fences and walls behind them. Light pompons with centres showing a touch of subtle pastel colour wonderfully complement the green and other colours of a garden that is about to go into winter dormancy.

Dahlia needs to be planted on a sunny site that is also sheltered from wind as plant's shoots are rather frail. Staking or use of other supports is an alternative solution to this problem. Keep plants 20 to 50 centimetres apart. Plant the tuberous rootstock circa 5 centimetres deep, from April to June. We recommend performing this task after the Ice Saints.  Dahlia thrives in a sandy-clay, fertile, and permeable soil. Dahlia requires watering during extended periods of drought. Its wilted flowers should be removed.  Dahlia reacts well to fertilization with manure, compost, and mineral fertilizers.

The magnificent dahlias, including this one, are not resistant to frost. Their rootstock must be excavated after the first frost the latest. Act gently, starting with loosening the soil with a garden fork, about 20 to 40 centimetres from the main stem. After cutting the shoots and cleaning the rootstock, place it in boxes, preferably roots up. Store them in a cool, dry place until the next planting.

Package contains 50 first choice piece of Eveline dahlia rootstock. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
