The Floorinoor dahlia will not disappoint gardeners who look for unique flowering plants. This variety will surprise you at every level - starting with the colour combination and ending with the flower form. A cluster of orange petals is surrounded by a collar of longer bright pink tongues with a yellow underside. The quickly growing tufts reach a height of 100 to 110 centimetres. Presented plant inspires you to create new surprising compositions and transforming your garden space. The Floorinoor dahlia will enchant the garden together with other flowers of late summer until the first frost in autumn with its dark green foliage and colourful flower heads. The beauty of the presented dahlia variety should be admired on perennial borders, next to gazebos, and places of relaxation. Combining that dahlia with ornamental grasses, such as silvergrass or lower reed grass, creates a subtler, airy arrangement. Cut dahlia flowers allows you to create stunning bouquets that would adorn the interiors. Floorinoor dahlia flowers maintain their nice appearance in such compositions for a long time.
Dahlia originates from Mexico and therefore loves sunlight and warmth. It is sensitive to cold and therefore can be grown only at the height of the vegetation season in Central Europe. After the first frost in autumn, dahlia stems must be pruned 10 to 20 centimetres over the ground and its carrot-like rootstocks excavated. Transfer the rootstock to a place where it can slightly dry. Remove soil rests and place the rootstocks in ventilated boxes that should be stored over the winter in a dry, cool place where temperatures would not fall below freezing point. In drier rooms, cover rootstocks with layers of peat or sawdust that will prevent dahlias from drying out completely. Rootstocks stored that way over the winter should be planted in the garden in the second half of may. You can begin earlier by forcing dahlias in pots placed in bright rooms.
Each package contains 10 first choice dahlia rootstocks of the Floorinoor variety. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
