The Shiloh Noelle dahlia stands out with a truly unusual appearance. Pastel pink with a shade of lavender purple that spreads over the surprisingly large flowers is the foundation of the sophisticated image of this marvellous plant. Huge fluffy flowers of the Shiloh Noelle dahlia that resemble pillows stand atop thick and strong stems that are covered with feathery dark green leaves. The height of a mature plant is equally impressive as its flowers and reaches about 140 centimetres! These garden giants are suitable for larger gardens. They look great in large plantings alongside walls, fences, and smaller wooden objects. You can cut flowers of the sturdy bushes for bouquets. It is way more than a good interior design idea - cutting stimulates plants to produce even more buds.
Choose a sunny or only partially shady situation for those majestic dahlias. It should be sheltered from strong wind that could break frail and tall stems. Dahlia tolerates almost all types of soil, yet this plant grows best in a fertile, permeable soil that remains moist. Dahlia can be planted outside in the garden only in spring after the last frost. Forcing dahlias in pots is a good solution - those seedlings can flower even three weeks earlier than plants grown the usual way. They allow you to enjoy the wonderful blooms for an even longer period of time. Dahlia tubers need to be dug out and stored with a short piece of the stem that shoots from them. Excavated and slightly dried rootstocks should winter in a cool room that is however protected from frost. We recommend layering the storage boxes with sawdust, peat or dry sand. We recommend checking on the tubers once in a while and, if needed, remove the specimens that have rotten or fallen to fungi.
