The Short Track dahlia is a decorative variety that is intended for growing on flower beds and in large containers. These broadly spreading plants flower abundantly over the course of several months. White flowers with red petal edges can be seen from afar. They tower over the beds on the 100 centimetre tall stems and constitute a wonderful component of every composition. Dahlia can also grow as an attention grabbing stand-alone plant. Lush flowering tufts fit onto large flower beds, into single species plantings, and into flowering dividers. All dahlias flower long and abundantly. Presented variety is no exception to this rule. Its magnificent flowers decorate the garden from July to October.

Dahlias are plants that are well suited for sunny situation or partial shade, while the soil should contain plenty of nutrients. Make sure that the ground is permeable and constantly yet moderately moist. Adding a dab of compost will not only improve soil properties, but also enrich the ground with an extra portion of nutrients. Dahlia rhizomes are planted in May, preferably in the second half of that month. You should not plant its bulbous roots too deep. We recommend watering and feeding dahlia with suitable fertilizers during the entire vegetation period. Frost-sensitive dahlia tubers must be dug out in autumn after the first frost. Cut the blackened, wilted stems right above the ground. Clean and dry the rootstocks. After disposing of the excess soil, place the tubers inside boxes or baskets, cover with peat or sawdust, and place in a room that secured from frost. Leave them in such conditions until late spring when you can plant them again.

Each package contains 10 dahlia first choice rootstocks of the Short Track variety. Basic plant growing instructions can be found on the package.
