The 'Roselily Aisha' oriental lily (Lilium orientalis) will appeal to all lovers of the minimalist elegance and subtle colours. This medium tall, 80 to 100 centimetres, abundantly blooming and beautifully scented variety will delight you with the unusual shape of its flowers. Lilies with double inflorescences are truly seldom. The bowl-shaped, top facing flowers of the 'Roselily 'Aisha' lily are filled with long, tongue shaped petals with gently frizzled edges. The clean white colour of the satin flowers is underscored by a subtle celadon green stripe that runs from the base of each petal up to its mid-length. Thanks to its thick, stiff and strong stems, the presented variety looks great irrespective of the weather conditions. The magnificent white 'Roselily Aisha' flowers proudly tower over the borders in the second half of summer - in July and August.

Even though the oriental lilies are considered demanding, their cultivation requirements do not differ much from the majority of the bulbous perennials. These marvellous flowering plants bloom reliably and thrive both in the sun and in partial shade. They are quite tolerant when it comes to soil, but they prefer slightly acidic soils that are permeable and fertile. This lily group is less tolerant to frost than the popular orienpet lilies, but will successfully winter in the ground under conifer twigs. The bulbs of the 'Roselily 'Aisha' lily can be planted all spring long, both in the ground and in pots. The double white lilies look great in groups of three to five plants and harmonize well with dark and light pink Roselily lilies, such as 'Clarissa', 'Lorena', 'Patricia' and 'Samantha'). We recommend to grow them in a showcase spot in border centres, in larger groupings at the entrance to the garden or alongside the south or east facing house wall. They can and should be grown for cut flowers. The stems with blooms cut at the beginning of the flowering period will retain their magnificent look in vases for ten to fourteen days.
