The Dutch iris (Iris hollandica) in the delightful Mystic Beauty variety is a plant that should not be missed from any bulb flower bed. The Mystic Beauty produces blooms that take on pastel purple colour with yellow petals. This combination will add shine to the flower beds and flower compositions in containers.  The stiff stems and narrow leaves make this species a wonderful material for cut flowers. The large flowers with a diameter of up to 12 cm can be hardly mistaken with an another variety thanks to the unusual petal arrangement. This magnificent display of nature's genius can be seen in June, when the plants reach their standard height of 45 to 60 cm.

Dutch irises are rather undemanding in regard to the cultivation conditions to the contentment of many gardeners. A warm and wind-sheltered site plays a crucial role for the cultivation success of this cultivar group. You will achieve the best results by growing them in permeable, fertile soil that is rich in nutrients. It tolerates quite a range of soil reaction, but feels particularly well in those from slightly acidic to neutral. The keys to successful iris cultivation are avoiding the shade and excess humidity. Dutch irises are hardy, but we recommend to mulch them before the winter. Cover the sites with dried leaves, tree bark, natural mulch or conifer twigs.

Each package contains 10 of the Mystic Beauty Dutch iris bulbs with a circumference of 7 to 8 cm.
