The "Perko" PVH field mustard is a plant of the cabbage family. It is related to the well-known rapeseed. We hereby offer the winter variety of this plant, called "Perko" that should be grown for green fodder and aftercrop. It is a hardy plant that grows well on non-acidic, loose soils.

The variety that we present here is vigorous and grows back easily. It produces plenty of crops with only a small fraction of woody content. Plants develop strong root systems underneath the ground and dense rosettes that consists of up to several dozens of leaves overground. Field mustard grows less tall than rapeseed and its pods mature quicker. The field mustard that is offered here is a hybrid of the winter field mustard and Napa cabbage. Cattle eats it eagerly as green fodder or hay. You can also let animals graze on it. One of the main advantages of the field mustard is that it does not alter the taste of the milk.

Field mustard for green fodder can be sown at various times of the year - as winter aftercrop, main crop in spring, and as stubble crop. You can sow it as aftercrop anytime.

Each package contains 1 kg of the "Perko" PVH field mustard seeds.
