The "Rubinka" tomato, a small-fruit cocktail variety, is intended for cultivation in the field, in greenhouses and foil tunnels. This excellent early variety produces plenty of fruit on its branched shoots. Berries are gathered in grapes consisting of 30 -35 pieces. These tomatoes are very resistant to breaking and do not fall off the plants. An average "Rubinka" fruit weighs 10-15 g. This variety is recommended for direct consumption, but these small fruit are also suitable for drying. "Rubinka" tomato produces delicious fruit, that will bring you a lot of joy harvested from July to August.

Cherry tomatoes are perfectly suited for the kitchen. They taste great in salads, omelets and casseroles. They add colour to the dishes as plate garnish. Cocktail tomatoes constitute an ideal appetizer - that is where they got their name from. You may, e.g. serve them stuffed with cheese filling. They will surprise you with a delicious aroma, when prepared the Mediterranean way in a herb marinade.

Sow "Rubinka" tomato seeds in March-April onto quality soil. Tomatoes require sunny, wind-sheltered sites. The soil should be slightly acidic, with high nutrient content. Fertilization is recommend, as these plants respond well to both organic and mineral fertilizers. Constant soil humidity control is necessary in cocktail tomato cultivation, as these varieties do not tolerate water shortages.
