The Golden Carpet daffodil (Narcissus) represents Jonquilla daffodils, a classic, popular group that flowers very early. This sunny yellow, abundantly flowering daffodil grows up to thirty centimetres (twelve inches) tall and develops flower buds in early April already. Its advantages include surprising resistance to difficult weather conditions, including wind and rain. Its compact size makes it perfect for growing in pots.

Daffodils quickly naturalize in gardens and have minimal growing requirements. You do not need much to provide them with conditions that guarantee abundant flowering every season. All you need is a sunny piece of land with humous and permeable soil. The variety offered in our store loves the sun, but tolerates partial shade. Compact tufts of light yellow, subtly cut flowers with quite large cups can decorate the foreground of a flower bed, a border around a flower bed, a rockery or the edge of a lawn. We recommend combining a group of Golden Carpet daffodils with a composition of colourful crocuses or planting them next to pastel-coloured hyacinths. In rock gardens, they will blend beautifully with botanical tulips, especially red and purple varieties.
