The Grand Soleil d'Or daffodil (Narcissus tazetta) is one of the most valuable of the unusual multi-flower varieties. Already the fact that this tiny plant, which grows up to a maximum height of thirty-five centimetres (fourteen inches), can produce ten to twenty flowers at a time, deserves recognition. There is still more to the variety offered here in our store. Its name means 'Great Golden Sun' in English and there is no exaggeration in this term. Vividly yellow, sunny colour of the petals of the presented daffodil spreads spring warmth, while the bright orange, tiny cups make the flowers even more distinct. Tiny, nicely formed flowers show up in large numbers to form clusters that make a daffodil in full bloom look like a radiant sun ball. This fantastic variety comes with distinct, sweet smell!
Bulbs of the Grand Soleil d'Or daffodil should be planted in permeable, sufficiently moist, and humous soil with a slightly acidic or neutral reaction. Choose a warm, sunny, and open position. Since it belongs to dwarf varieties, you can also successfully grow this lovely sunny daffodil in a pot. We recommend covering the planting site with dry mulch - conifer branches, sawdust, bark, or even fleece before the frost sets in. The Grand Soleil d'Or daffodil can easily become the main decoration of a flower bed or border due to its generous and decorative flowering. You can also combine it with darker hyacinths, freesias, and tulips. A bouquet consisting of the proposed variety, large-cupped, and double daffodils allows to achieve stunning, bright effect.
One package contains five bulbs of the Grand Soleil d?Or daffodil, sized twelve to fourteen centimetres (five to six inches) in circumference. Essential growing instructions can be found on the package.
