The Big Smile grape hyacinth is a persistently charming plant that is ideal for the low spring flower beds. This variety stands out with significantly longer flower clusters than the average for this species. It proves to be ideal for contrasting arrangements with other bulb plants, such as the red tulips and bright yellow daffodils. The saturated colour of the small blue balloons is additionally underscored by the subtle edges.

Tufts of juicy green, narrow basal leaves provide a wonderful frame for the originally shaped flowers. The plants that sprout from small bulbs covered with glossy scales reach circa 20 cm in height. The bright blue inflorescences appear on the stems in April. This grape hyacinth variety is perfect for lower borders and rock gardens. This already classic bulbous perennial can be found on lawns and is often used as sodding plant. Planted in shallow containers, bowls and baskets, they will form a magnificent, eye-catching decoration of home entrances, balconies, terraces and interiors.

The easy to grow, incredibly looking grape hyacinths prefer sunny sites, yet tolerate partial shade of trees and shrubs. They will grow everywhere, provided the soil is permeable, fertile and slightly moist. Plant grape hyacinth bulbs circa 10 cm deep and approximately the same distance apart. You do not have to excavate them, as this species is completely frost resistant.

Each package contains 10 bulbs of the Big Smile grape hyacinth, sized 8 to 9 cm in circumference. The basic growing tips are printed on the package label.
