The common grape hyacinth (Muscari neglectum) belongs to the most common Muscari species apart from the Armenian grape hyacinth (Muscari armeniacum). The grape hyacinth that belongs to the Hyacinthaceae family develops spherical flowers gathered in dense clusters. They appear on the stalks in the first half of spring, in April and May. They are usually dark blue and have a thin white ring at the edge. The cone-shaped flower clusters grow from the bottom and excrete a pleasant, subtle aroma. The leaves of the grape hyacinth are thin and bending, while their bright green colour underscores the colour of the flowers. The charming grape hyacinths of the presented species grow up to 15 cm tall. They bloom long and reliably each year.

This small growing bulb plant spreads rapidly, creating marvellous, naturally looking tufts. It can be planted in rock gardens, where it harmonizes with the rough rocks. The grape hyacinth is simply indispensable on landscape and showcase flower beds. It is a great edging plant, too. It will adorn home interiors when planted in pots.

The cultivation of the wonderful grape hyacinths is not difficult. The small bulbs covered with grey skin should be planted 5 to 8 cm deep in autumn. A sunny or partially shady site offers the best conditions for this plant. The soil should be fertile, rich in humus and moderately moist. Grape hyacinths are usually satisfied with the average garden soil. We recommend to dig out the bulbs every 3 to 4 years in June and separate the bulbils that develop rapidly.

Each package contains 10 bulbs of the Muscari neglectum sized 5/+. The basic plant data has been printed on the package label.
