The Green Wave belongs to the most unusual varieties of parrot tulips. It produces stunning, wrinkled flowers that become an unparalleled decoration of gardens and home vases. Bright pink seasoned with shades of white and light green streaks creates a dazzling, exotic effect. This is the perfect to rejuvenate old flower beds and borders. Presented variety grows forty to sixty centimetres tall on average. Green Wave tulip blooms in May. The irregularly shaped, folded flowers of the Green Wave tulip provide excellent floristic material. Just a few flowers in a glass vase will become an unusual interior decoration.

Tulips should be planted in groups of ten to fifteen plants or, when covering larger areas, in fields counting several dozen bulbs. Sunny or partially shady place suits tulips best. Light, airy, humous soil that is rich in minerals stimulates tulips to bloom profusely. Tulips flower in spring and should therefore be planted in autumn, starting mid-September. Recommended planting depth is ten to twelve centimetres and spacing between plants twelve to fifteen. Make sure that the site remains moderately moist and well-drained. Tulip is a frost-resistant species, but to secure them from frost, it is best to cover the site before the winter with spruce twigs or dried leaves. Dig out tulip bulbs at the turn of June and July replant them to a new site in autumn.
