The Haute Couture tulip's characteristic features include a compact habit and bicolour flowers that constitute a perfect decoration of small flower beds, rockeries, and pots. Intriguing, mottled leaves enhance the decorative effect. Haute Couture tulip is resistant to weather conditions and therefore suitable for planting in more open areas. Its creamy-white flower cups adorned with wide streaks of raspberry pink create a magical, multi-dimensional effect that makes your spring garden come alive. The Haute Couture variety grows up to twenty centimetres tall and develops its beautiful flowers in April.
Dwarf Greigii tulips, including the variety offered here, prefer sunny places. Plant its bulbs in autumn, preferably in September and October. Prepare the soil before putting bulbs at a depth equal two or three heights of the bulb, ten to fifteen centimetres. The carefully prepared soil should be fertile, rich in humus, and well-drained. Tulips cannot stand excessively moist or heavy, clay soil. Bulbs of a Greigii tulip do not require digging up, they can stay in one place for several years. Make sure to remove wilted flowers. We also recommend covering tulip sites before the winter. The first frost marks the right time to do it.
One package contains five bulbs of the Haute Couture tulip, sized 11/12 centimetres in circumference. You can find basic plant facts and growing tips on the packaging.
