Large-flowered garden pansy "Claret" (Viola x wittrockiana), here in a carmine-pink, dotted variety, is a bright, cheerful flower that blooms as one of the first in the season. Garden pansies, that bloom in early spring and autumn, are everyone’s darlings. This small, biennial plant grows 15 - 20 cm tall. It dazzles us with large flowers and long blooming period. Each of its large blooms consist of five round petals. Flowers of the "Claret" variety take on vivid, beautiful carmine-pink colour and its lower petals are adorned with a black dot. Garden pansies are universal, are fitted for borders, flower beds and rock gardens. You may create colourful spots and edgings in gardens with them. When planted in containers and boxes they will adorn your balcony or terrace.

You may easily prepare the seedlings on you own. Garden pansy seeds should be sown in summer indoors or at a seed bed. You will transplant them to borders in autumn or spring, maintaining 20 - 25 cm distances between the plants. These grown in autumn will bloom only in spring in the following year, while those from spring planting will bloom in the middle of the summer. These plants are undemanding, and only need standard garden soil, provided it is moist. You will have to water them in drought periods. They grow well on sunny sites, but planted in light shade will bloom longer.

Each package contains 0.5 g of "Claret" large-flowered garden pansy seeds. The package information contains a growing guide and the sow-by date.
