The charming low growing 'White Purissima' tulip grows no higher than 30 to 40 centimetres tall. Its strong, short stems support single, large, cup-shaped flowers with creamy white petals. Their elegant creamy white colour is additionally underscored by the dark green colouring of the broad, pointed, inward bent leaves. This small, yet abundantly blooming variety fits onto smaller flower beds and into planters on a terrace or balcony.
In order to grow a compact tulip group, plant the bulbs about 12 centimetres apart and 12 centimetres deep. Plant them in autumn, in September or in the first half of October. Choose a sunny site for the 'White Purissima' tulip. It will also tolerate partial shade. The soil should be rather light, permeable, yet rich in nutrients, preferably enriched with ground organic fertilizer. Low growing tulips can winter in the ground under a cover of dry leaves or conifer twigs.
One package contains 50 bulbs sized 12/14 centimetres in circumference. The bulbs offered here in our store were bred in Holland.
