"Pasja" is widely considered the best Polish meadow fescue variety. This grass belongs to valuable pasture grasses. It grows tall and develops a rather loose tuft habit that bases on a strong and deeply reaching root system. Meadow fescue is used in many different seed selections intended for hay and pasture meadows. It works particularly well in mixtures with Fabaceae plants (legumes). You may grow it short- or long term. The grass presented here tolerates various soil types and can be used in a variety of ways. It needs plenty of light and tolerates only very limited shortages of sunlight. "Pasja" meadow fescue offered here handles treading well and displays strong and rapid regrowth capabilities. Therefore it provides high yield of green and dry mass of superior quality. It reliably and stably brings crops all year long. The hardiness of this variety is considered excellent. All farm animals eagerly graze on this grass due to its excellent taste and digestibility. The "Pasja" meadow fescue stands out with high sugar and protein content. The first cutting takes place in the first decade of July. Harvest the grass for green forage during the an early heading stage and for silage when the ears would have fully developed. It yields best crops during first 2 - 3 years of use.
