The Monal daffodil is a radiant variety of the large cupped daffodil. Its orange trumpet shines among the yellow tepals. Its length equals one third of the perianth length what give the plant a unique rich appearance.  Single flowers grow on top of the not-so-stiff stems. Their beauty and colour are accentuated by the grass-like leaves that take on silvery-bluish colour. Daffodils grow from bulbs and look great in larger groupings, e.g. at the background of a hedge or a building wall. The Monal daffodil is a wonderful variety that guarantees excellent visual effects on flower beds, in rock gardens, on patches of land under the corollas of still leafless trees. These plants look terrific on city lawns. Presented bicolour daffodil is a wonderful plant for growing in planters and composing cheerful spring bouquets.

The frost resistant daffodils do not expect much from its grower. They prefer sunny sites but tolerate partial shade too. Their bulbs grow best in a permeable, humous, and moderately moist soil. Wilted flowers should be removed so the plants do not waste energy on production of the seeds. Autumn is the time to plant daffodils. A narcissus bulb should be planted at a depth equal its double or triple height. Daffodil planting site does not have to be covered but we recommend doing it. Mulch it before the winter with tree bark, dry leaves, straw, or deacidified peat.
