Nerine Kodora (Nerine), offered here in 10-bulb packs, is an elegant yet extravagant plant. Moderate growth, that allows to grow it both in ornamental pots indoors, as well as in a garden in a singlespecies grouping or an arrangement with other flowers of the summer, belongs to the greatest strength of this variety. Magnificent, charming flowers that reach up to 10 cm in diameter are gathered in umbels on the erect, 3050 cm high stalks and appear on the plants from August to September. They take a form of slender funnels. Their narrow petals bend downwards and reveal long, ornamental stamens. Blooms of the cultivar offered here take on an original, carminered colour, making it one of the rarest varieties of its kind.
Bulbs of the frostsensitive Kodora nerine should be planted in the field late in the spring and dug out early in autumn. Pot cultivation requires slightly earlier planting. This perennial needs light, moist, humous soil and most of all, high temperatures and sunlight to grow and bloom abundantly. It would bloom most abundantly on a sunny windowsill at home or in an unheated greenhouse. If you decide to plant it in the open air, you should choose a site that is windsheltered from East and North and spacious enough to grow this presented variety in groupings with the whiteflowered Alba nerine.
One package contains 10 large bulbs of the Kodora nerine, sized at least 14 centimetres in circumference. Essential growing instructions have been printed on each package.
