The Night Eyes Armenian grape hyacinth belongs to the latest varieties of the popular spring flower. The uniqueness of the presented plant, basing on the colour scheme, cannot be denied. Dark, blue-purple, tiny round flowers come with white frills at the edges. They grow on smooth, bright green stems that shoot from in-between tufts of narrow, grass-like leaves. Flower clusters of the Armenian grape hyacinth consist of dozens of flowers and take on a conical, compact form. They excrete a subtle, yet clearly recognizable scent. Night Eyes grape hyacinths are delightful plants that one can use in the garden in a variety of ways. Their modest size encourages you to plant them at the front of a flower bed, at an elevated border, or in a decorative pot. Blue spots consisting of dense flower clusters can magnificently fill rock gardens and naturalize larger areas. The distinctive colour of Armenian grape hyacinth flowers looks great in company of yellow daffodils or red tulips. It also harmonizes beautifully with white daisies and other low-growing perennials. Grape hyacinths provide excellent raw material for small, fragrant bouquets.

We recommend planting Armenian grape hyacinth in groups consisting of several to a dozen plants. Planting should take place between mid-September and early October. You do not have to plant grape hyacinths too far apart from each other, keeping them seven centimetres apart in rows every ten centimetres should guarantee excellent end result. Presented species does not have high requirements. It thrives in almost any given soil, provided it is not too dry and barren. It tolerates various lighting conditions, from full sun to partial shade. You do not have to excavate grape hyacinth bulbs every year, as they winter well in the ground.
