The 'Fortunia' trailing petunia with its tender pink flowers is a plant with a high decorative value. It perfectly fits onto balconies and terraces that it will immediately adorn with cascades of flowers in noble, elegant colours.  This variety develops large, cup-shaped flowers that densely cover the trailing shoots. A vigorously growing petunia tends to spread broadly and therefore magnificently fills the containers it grows in. The pink flowers harmonize beautifully with differently coloured blooms. A large petunia constitutes a splendid ornament from mid May until October. These flower carpets look best when they hang over the basket, box and tall planter edges.

Trailing petunia can be easily grown at home. Sow the seeds from February to March into pots on a windowsill or in greenhouses. Do not cover the seeds with soil, but press them gently into the moist soil. The small seedlings need to be pricked out in order to keep them 3 to 4 cm apart. Transfer them to the permanent site in the second half of May after the last frosts. These flowers are recommended for sunny, preferably wind-sheltered sites. They prefer fertile, light and constantly moist soils. You will achieve excellent results when you feed the 'Surfinia' trailing petunias with special fertilizers.

One package contains 0.1 grams of the pink 'Fortunia' trailing petunia seeds. The sow-by date and the growing instructions can be found on the back side of the package.
