The "Astra Rose" medium tall sunflower of the Polish Flowers collection is a unique variety that displays seldom occurring pink colouring of the petal. The relatively broadly spreading 100 to 120 cm tall plants develop dozens of magnificently shaped flowers during the flowering period. The narrow petals take on a sweet pastel pink colour as they mature. The petals become shorter and frizzled closer to the centre that takes on a fitting dark colour with distinct mahogany notes.

Stiff stems of this plant that end with unique flowers are a great addition to rustic and natural gardens. The abundantly blooming sunflowers are recommended for perennial beds and seasonal plantings. They harmonize well with garden architecture and will make relaxation in your favourite corners much more pleasant. The "Astra Rose" sunflower attracts butterflies and bees. Observing these insects will bring you much joy. Bouquets of pink sunflowers can be used for interior decoration. They last long when taken proper care of.

The wonderful "Astra Rose" sunflowers do not belong to demanding species. The cultivation of those plants can be mastered by almost everyone. Sow the seeds directly onto the field from April to June, every 40 x 50 cm apart. These sunflowers prefer sunny, sheltered sites with fertile, nutrient-rich and moist soil. We recommend to sow pointwise, 2-3 seeds per hole, about 3 cm deep. The shallow sowing may allow the birds to forage on the seeds. Sunflowers grow relatively quickly. The flowers adorn them from July to September.
