The Queensland tulip is a fabulous double variety distinctly fringed petal edges. This captivating tulip resembles an ornate, frilled ball gown. Various shades of pink enclosed in a lighter border give flowers unique softness and irresistible charm. This elegant flower enchants with its delicacy, yet it does not lack character. Flowers that appear during a three week period at the end of April and beginning of May grow on twenty-five to forty centimetres (ten to sixteen inches) tall stems. Lush, vividly green foliage complements the compact growth form of the presented plant. Tulip perfectly fills garden beds, borders, and lawns. It can also adorn your property when planted in pots and planters. Colourful groups of ten to fifteen plants give amazing visual effects. You can combine this tulip with other bulb flower specie or a group of perennials with decorative leaves. Tulips are popular, dazzling cut flowers, and a bouquet made of Queensland tulips is no exception to that rule.
Perennial tulips are prized for their beauty and easy cultivation. Start your tulip adventure in autumn with planting bulbs ten to twelve centimetres (four to five inches) deep. Using special plastic baskets for planting is highly recommended. Tulips like sunlight and well-drained, loose, moderately moist soil. Fertilize the plants from spring onwards. Bulbs can remain in the ground for two to three years, but to ensure abundant flowering each year, digging out bulbs after the end of the flowering period, let them rest, and plant again in autumn.
One package contains five bulbs of Queensland tulip, sized eleven to twelve centimetres (four-and-a-half to eleven inches) in circumference. Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the packaging label.
