Rutabaga "Nadmorska" (Brassica napus L. var. napobrassica) is a popular, proven variety of a lately forgotten, yet very valuable vegetable, that is easy in cultivation, undemanding and rich in priceless nutrients. Round roots with yellow flesh are typical for the "Nadmorska" rutabaga variety. Young roots become creamy and have a great, tender taste after cooking. The more mature ones are recommended for fodder, especially given the fact that they can be successfully stored. Rutabaga leaves are also valued as forage. Its roots contain large amounts of vitamin C, B vitamins and carotenoids, as well as minerals, such as kalium, magnesium, calcium, iron, phosphorus and zinc.

Rutabaga seeds are sown in spring directly, although growing this plant from seedlings is also possible. This plant does not have any special requirements in terms of cultivation - it grows well and yields rich crops in different soils, provided that they are moist and rich in humus. Resistance to thermal stress and frosts belong to the main advantages of this cultivar. Well developed roots are harvested in October and November.
