The Soft Blue Siberian iris is a perennial whose beauty nobody can dispute. This feature, together with low requirements, makes it an exceptional proposal for many gardening afficionados. Presented iris develops flowers typical for its species. Their petals are divided in two groups - one is erect and the other arches down. The magnificent blue colour is the main asset of the Soft Blue variety. A pale yellow, veined spot spread over the broader bottom petals. Three to four flowers develop atop the 100 to 120 centimetre tall, tubular stems. They appear in large numbers in June and July. The Soft Blue Siberian iris is a long-lived, winter-hardy plant. It shall adorn the garden for years with the maintenance limited to necessary care and rejuvenation of the tufts.

Presented iris is easy to grow. It will grow abundantly if you plant it in a fertile, moist, slightly acidic soil. Siberian irises should thrive in virtually every type of garden soil. We recommend planting this species at sunny or only partially shaded situations. Growing it in the shade brings unsatisfying results - plants flower poorly. You can plant iris rhizomes almost all season long, but those planted in spring and summer tend to develop best. Iris require regular watering, removing of wilted flowers, and fertilization as the need arises, as the basic and only maintenance.

Indicated price is valid for 1 first choice rhizome of the presented variety of the Siberian iris. The bag with the rhizome is equipped with a label that contains basic plant facts and growing instructions.
