Spring vetch (Vicia sativa), here offered as 1000 g of seeds for aftercrops, belongs to more valuable green forages, grown eagerly as aftercrop on fields and gardens. It produces long, slender shoots with a plethora of small, tender leaves. It shows great results on medium heavy, moist soils. It is a universal aftercrop that merely should not be sown after bean plants.
Seeds are sown the whole summer long, from early spring until late summer. Young plants withstand temperature fluctuation and frosts. After mowing, the green matter should be mixed with soil and left over the winter. In spring we will have a loosened soil rich in organic matter, especially nitrogen, thanks to spring vetch roots that assimilate it directly from the air.
The package contains 1000 g of spring vetch seeds for aftercrops. The sow-by date is included in the package information and growing instructions have been printed at the back side of the package.
