The "Gallant F1" tomato is an early tall growing variety that can be grown both in greenhouses and in the open field. It develops clusters of 10 to 12 fruit that each weighs 60 to 80 g. The round, smooth, bright red berries of the "Gallant F1" tomato stand out with an excellent taste. They are perfectly suited for consumption right after the harvest in sandwiches, main courses and in fresh salads. They will add extra flavour and texture to sauces, soups and casseroles. Even the fully ripened fruit do not fall of the stems and can therefore be harvested in entire clusters. The variety that we present here is resistant to dangerous diseases: tomato leaf mosaic virus, fusarium wilt of tomatoes and verticillosis. The extended shelf-life of the fruit and the fact that they do not get softer with time (this is an LSL variety equipped with the fruit firmness gene) also belong to the advantages of this cultivar. The "Gallant F1" is a greenhouse variety that is intended for cultivation in greenhouses and in the field. Tomato seeds should be sown in warm and bright interiors early in spring, between February and April. Transfer the seedlings after six to eight weeks to the permanent site, this usually happens at the end of May. Use a well cultivated, nutrient-rich, and not too heavy soil for tomato cultures. The site needs to be sunny and warm. Regular watering and fertilization is crucial for the success of your efforts.
