A beautiful colour and decorative petal edges are the reasons why Traveler tulip attracts attention both on a flowerbed and in the vase. This frilled beauty is very elegant, it looks great solo and in combination with other bulb flowers and popular perennials. Its single-colour flowers that take on a saturated colour somewhere in between dark pink and purple delight with petal tips adorned with a lacy pattern. This very feature is the trademark of the variety and its entire cultivar group. Subtle frills give the flowers a fluffy appearance, which makes it impossible to pass by them indifferently. Traveler tulip makes a great figure in groups, e.g. in urban green areas, and as a durable cut flower.

You can start planting tulip bulbs as soon as the autumn arrives. Start around mid-September and continue until the end of October to give bulbs enough time to sprout before the frost. The right tulip cultivation site should be sunny and sheltered, with a fertile, well-drained, and nutrient-rich soil. We recommend using special planting baskets, that facilitate excavation of bulbs and protect them against rodents. After the flowering period, remove flower rests. Tulips left in the ground to winter should be properly protected against frost.
