The pastel orange 'Apricot' tulip ranks high among the candidates for the title of the most beautiful May perennial. This medium tall (up to 50 centimetres), slender and charming Darin hybrid develops elongated flower buds that unfold into single flowers that are shaped like tall, rounded vases. The entire petals delight with a satin glow and their pastel apricot orange colour. The 'Apricot' tulips start to bloom at the end of April in optimal conditions, but its flowering peak falls usually for the first half of May.

Tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn before the first autumn frost. The variety offered here in our store does not differ much in regard to the cultivation requirements from the majority bulbous perennials. This tulip likes humous, permeable soils that do not waterlog in winter and spring. Choose a bright, sunny site in order to grow spectacular, large flowers in saturated colours. The charming tall apricot-coloured tulip looks great in larger plantings on flower beds and in bouquets. We recommend to combine it with other Darwin hybrids and Triumph tulips that bear white, creamy white, purple, yellow and red flowers.

One package contains 5 bulbs of the 'Apricot' Darwin hybrid tulip, sized 11/12 cm. The basic plant growing instructions have been printed on the package.
