Tulip "Artist" (Tulipa viridiflora) got his name for a reason - this intriguing variety produces blooms that look like they have been painted by a famous painter. As a representative of the late green-flowered tulips, the "Artist" variety differs significantly from more common, single-coloured cultivars. It blooms in May and its tall, cup-shaped inflorescences consist of spiked, ornamentally bent, orange-yellow petals with a distinguishing green stripes. Long blooming period that lasts up to 3 weeks belongs to other advantages of the variety offered in our store.
Bulbs of the green-flowered tulips should be planted in autumn, preferably as late as possible. Choose a bright, sunny or partially shady site with a moderately heavy, humous and permeable soil. The slender, erect "Artist" tulip looks best in a dense, large group counting at least 10 plants. It forms charming border compositions with the late double tulips, such as "Allegretto" and "Orange Favourite", parrot varieties - "Exotic Parrot" or "Webers Parrot" and lily-flowered tulips, for example "Florosa".
Package contains 250 "Artist" tulip bulbs sized 11/12 cm. The most important growing instructions have been included in the package information.
