The Green Spirit tulip is a variety that has ties to the classic tulips, but could not be farther from the tediousness. Its single flowers take on a warm white colour that some consider ivory and are green at the base. The fresh, juicy green spots subtly fade into the top part of the petals, adding depth to the flower and underscoring its slender shape. The Green Spirit tulip reaches a standard height of about 45 cm and blooms during the peak tulip flowering season, at the end of April and the beginning of May. It is worth inviting it to a flower bed or give it a sunny corner at the edge of a lawn, by the fence or plant it alongside the southern house wall. It will look great both in formal arrangements and natural gardens, especially when planted in a larger group with the differently coloured varieties.
The Green Spirit tulip bulbs should be planted in autumn into the moist, permeable, humous soil. Try to find a sunny site that does not get waterlogged - tulips will grow and bloom well for several years in such location. Bulbs of the variety that we offer here in our store can be grown in planters, too. Its subtly coloured, paste flowers provide charming material for various tulip compositions. They will look great in company of the purple flowered (Alibi, Purple Prince, Negrete), pink (Design Impression, First Class, Van Eyck) and dark red varieties (Jan Reus, Parade, Red Impression).
