The "Kung Fu" tulip is a valuable member of the Triumph-tulip group that produces bicolour blooms. This slender, tall variety reaches up to 45 cm in height. Its single, surprisingly large, nicely shaped calyxes are made of velvety, cherry-red petals with the visible, subtle silver edges. The charming "Kung Fu" tulip blooms in the middle of the spring and since it is less spectacular than the majority of red tulips, it would please the lovers of subdued, elegant compositions.
Bulbs of the "Triumph" tulips should be planted in autumn on sunny sites on fertile and permeable soil. In order to achieve the best visual effects, we recommend to plant at least a dozen of bulbs of the same variety. "Kung Fu" tulip ideally fits into rigid, geometrical plantings on borders and flower beds, particularly together with yellow, white and pink Triumph tulips. Due to its frost resistance and easy cultivation you may also naturalize it, hence it is perfect for the "wilder" side of the garden, where it would create a picturesque spot at the lawn. Long, erect stalks make this variety, available in our store, a perfect cut flower.
One package contains 50 bulbs of the 'Kung Fu' tulip, sized 12/14 cm. The basic plant growing instructions have been printed on the package.
