The "Parade" tulip belongs to the exceptionally valuable varieties that change their appearance as their flower buds open. This easy to grow, resistant and persistently blooming Darwin hybrid tulip is perfectly suited for growing in the background of a spring border. It blooms at the end of April and at the beginning of May, reaching a height of 55 cm in full bloom. Its flower buds are conical, elongated and take on a bright, scarlet red colour. The opened, unfolded cups of the "Parade" tulips have clearly visible, thin golden-yellow petal edges and a black spot inside the calyx tube that can be seen after the petals completely unfold. This fascinating colour show may last 2 to 3 weeks.

The bulbs of the "Parade" tulip should be planted in autumn on sunny and warm sites. these plants prefer fertile, moderately moist, sufficiently moist soils and feel great planted in larger groups. Red, distinctly coloured Darwin hybrid tulips may be formed into a beautiful colourful spot in the middle of the flower bed. It is also worth giving them a place on the border, where they would form a fantastic composition with tall white (Hakuun, White Dream), yellow (Golden Parade, Golden Glasnost), pale pink (Apricot, Salmon Impression) and purple (American Eagle, Negrita) tulips. The hybrid variety offered here is also ideal for growing for cut flowers.
