The Quebec tulip is a dwarf variety that belongs to Greigii division. This beautiful flower proves that a plant does not need to be tall in order to attract attention. Even though this variety grows only 30 cm tall, its bowl-shaped, bicolour flowers and intricately decorated leaves make it stand out from other perennials that bloom in spring. Its creamy white petals are adorned with broad, pink-red stripes, while the grey-green foliage is decorated with narrow, brown stripes. The Quebec tulip dazzles with a unique flowering strength, too. 3 to 5 flowers develop atop each of the erect stems. This feature makes each shoot a separate small bouquet. The variety offered here in our store can be universally used in planning of floral arrangements. It will magnificently adorn a lawn, the front of a flower bed and a rock garden. The Quebec tulip is also perfectly suited for growing in pots.

The recommended time for planting tulip bulbs is autumn. The low growing, abundantly flowering Greigii tulips look best in compact tufts (plants grown 10 x 10 cm apart). You can also naturalize these tulips on less frequently mown lawns and larger rock gardens, where you should plant them less densely in order to let them spread year after year. The Quebec tulip likes sunny and partially shady sites and loose, permeable, humous soil. It perfectly harmonizes with the narcissi, grape hyacinths, snake's head fritillary and tall tulips.
