The 'Red Impression' tulip will delight all lovers of the traditional single red flowers. The term 'red' seems to be insufficient in regard to this unique variety. The smooth shiny petals of this Darwin hybrid sparkle with diverse shades of deep red, from pinkish coral red to saturated ruby tones. The variety that we offer here in our store blooms end of April and at the beginning of May. Its single, shapely, bowl-shaped flowers sit atop the 50 to 60 centimetres tall stems.
Bulbs of the 'Red Impression' tulip should be planted on sunny situations. The plants will thrive, though, in partial shade too. The soil should be fertile, humous, permeable, dry during the dormancy in the winter and moderately moist in spring. The easy to grow, vigorous Darwin hybrids are resistant to diseases. They bloom reliably and constitute an elegant garden decoration. You can plant them in smaller groups of 3 to 5 specimens and in rows in the background of the multi-species arrangements and in form of a large colourful patch on a lawn. The 'Red Impression' tulip will look great in company of all tulips that take on various shades of yellow, e.g. Beauty of Apeldoorn, Golden Parade, Lemon Giant, Yokohama and all yellow-red cultivars, such as Abu Hassan, Denmark, El Cid and Mickey Mouse.
Package contains 250 'Red Impression' tulip bulbs, sized 12/14 cm. The basic plant growing instructions have been printed on the package.
