The 'Salmon Van Eijk' tulip is an interesting variant of the popular pink 'Van Eijk' cultivar. In contrary to the saturated colour of its relative, the variety presented here dazzles with a subtle, pastel shade. The salmon pink colour of the oval silky petals is truly unique. It is worth noting, too, that 'Salmon Van Eijk' belongs to the tallest Triumph tulips and it also develops XXL-sized flowers. Its flowers take on a shape of large cups. Their elegant, rounded form looks great on flower beds and in a vase.
Plan tulip planting for autumn. The soil prepared for cultivation of these undemanding plants needs to be loose and permeable. Plant 'Salmon Van Eijk' bulbs in rows or in a loose group in 15 x 15 centimetres spacings. The plants will spread broader every year and create naturally-looking, picturesque groupings. The subtle colours of this pastel variety can be used as a fitting background for the lower growing, vividly coloured bulbous flowers, such as the snake's head fritillary, Armenian grape hyacinth or jonquil daffodils. In order to cheer up your compositions, we recommend to accompany these large salmon pink tulips with darker varieties, such as Armani, Cuban Night, Passionale, Hotpants or Rococo.
One package contains 5 bulbs of the 'Salmon Van Eijk' tulip, sized 11/12 cm. The basic plant growing instructions have been printed on the package.
