Welsh Onion is a hardy green variety that grows very tasty and rich chives. Once planted, this perennial vegetable should not be cultivated in one position for longer than 3 to 4 years, as it tends to sterilise the soil and becomes weedy after a longer period of time. Welsh Onion is predominantly grown for its chives.
