Activsorb 109 - active coconut charcoal is a filtering supporting agent intended for getting rid of undesired fragrances and taste from drinking water and home made liquors. Thanks to filtering the previously mentioned liquids through a charcoal filter you will get a subtler, more neutral taste and aroma of the alcohol. This is a 100% natural product, made of coconut shells.

The product presented here, available in form of a granulate, is an efficient absorbent of taste and fragrance carrier substances that may impact the quality of water and produced distillates. The unusual absorption properties result from the coconut charcoal production process. This material acquires a structure of branched tubules and becomes extremely porous.

Activsorb 109 operates in a manner similar to the typical water filters. The minimal time of filtrating of 1 litre of liquid is 60 minutes. We recommend, though, to extend that time and lower the temperature of the distilled liquid to 10⁰C for best results. Yet another filtration method would be to pour the preparation into a nylon mesh bag and sink it in the filtrated liquid. The filtration time should be at least 6 hours. Frequent stirring is absolutely necessary.

The 0.9 l (0.46 kg) package allows you to filter 20 litres of distillate. We recommend to soak the product in demineralized water for 24 hours before use in order to remove the air bubbles from the absorbent.
