The MP-1 All-purpose quick growing aftercrop selection produces large amounts of green mass that can be used for animal fodder or ploughed in as valuable green fertilizer. This selection contains several species that are considered to have excellent phytosanitary and weed-blocking properties. The composition of the selection is supposed to provide material for humus building in the soil, thus improving its structure. Diverse, well-developed root systems of the MP-1 plants loosen and aerate the soil. They also increase the amount of minerals in the soil. Buckwheat and lacy phacelia belong to productive melliferous plants that attract pollinating insects to the area. All plants that are included in this selection have low cultivation requirements and could grow even on lesser soil. The MP-1 is recommended for sowing in the crop rotation before corn, cereals, and root vegetables due to the extreme nematode elimination properties of the white mustard and fodder radish. The presented selection is not suitable for areas where rapeseed will be grown.
