Allium mix ornamental onion offers an intriguing selection of the most beautiful varieties that allows you to create delightful compositions. Blooming in late spring and early summer, ornamental onion is a great idea to upkeep flowering in your garden. Decorative features of various Allium species come from the umbrella-shaped, spherical or semicircular inflorescences that tower over the ground on bare, tubular, sixty to ninety centimetres (twenty-four to thirty-six inches) tall stems. Lush, intricate inflorescences of ornamental onion, garlic, or leek all have a characteristic structure. They are clusters of radiating peduncles that end with a single, smaller or larger, star-shaped flower.

Enchanting Allium inflorescences constitute a splendid garden decoration, but you can also used them in fresh and dry bouquets. Ornamental plants of that group vary in height, flower colour, and form, what allowed them to gain on popularity among gardeners and florists in recent years. An unpretentious, easy-to-grow Allium plants provide material to fill flower beds, natural arrangements, and rock gardens. Tall ornamental onion harmonizes with lilies, irises, and groups of low, tufted perennials. Ornamental grasses, that perfectly cover gaps left by Allium during summer dormancy, are also a great company for the offered group of plants.

Similarly to other onion, garlic, and leek species, ornamental varieties require a sunny site with fertile, light, and well-drained soil. Plant bulbs in autumn, in September and October, ten to fifteen centimetres (four to six inches) deep. A flower bud forms within the bulb in winter to emerge in spring and summer. Change the site where you grow ornamental onion every two to three years. Allium in general is resistant to diseases and pests and rather care-free. To ensure abundant flowering, feed plants with a complex fertilizer and water them in periods of drought.

One package contains three bulbs of ornamental onion, sized twelve centimetres plus (five inches plus). Basic plant facts and growing instructions were printed on the product label.
