'De Caen Bicolor' anemone forms contrasting flowers with white petals and an intense red centre. In the middle of each flower is a distinctive dark eye made up of numerous stamens, which highlights the petal colour and gives the blooms a striking appearance. The flowers are carried on slender stems rising above delicately cut, light green leaves. The plant forms compact clumps and looks best planted in larger groups in borders. Thanks to their bold colouring, the flowers are clearly visible in the garden and provide a strong accent in summer planting schemes.
Plant the bulbs in the ground from April to May.
The recommended planting depth is 6-8 cm.
The optimum spacing between plants is 10 cm.
The plant reaches 30-40 cm.
Flowers from July to August.
The plant is not frost-hardy, so the bulbs should be lifted in autumn and stored in a dry, cool place until spring planting time.
De Caen group anemones perform well in borders, group plantings, and containers on balconies and terraces. They are also suitable for cutting, so they can be used in bouquets and floral arrangements.
