The low growing annual phlox (Phlox drummondi) perfectly fits fronts of summer flower beds. Small (20 - 30 cm tall), exuberantly blooming, erect bouquets look great on edgings with a background of taller species with larger blooms, such as dahlias and zinnias, or in company of lavenders with their spike inflorescences, too. Our store offers a mix of white, pink, purple and red, as well as bi-colour, e.g. dark pink with white spots, Drummond's phloxes. The small, flat blooms developing in vast numbers blossom from July until September.

Sowing annual phlox's seeds directly to the ground starting from mid-April will make cultivation of this plant much easier. Seedlings are produced in March under covers, or at home in an indoor greenhouse. Young plants are then transplanted to the permanent site mid-May. In order to achieve the best results we recommend dense cultivation (spacings of 20-30 x 40 cm). Drummond's phloxes love sun and require rather moist, humous and medium compact soil.

One package contains 1 g of annual phlox seeds. The sow-by date and growing instuctions are printed at the back side of the package.
