The product is intended for potted plants, bedding plants, and trees and shrubs grown in the ground. It is particularly useful in light and sandy soils that dry out quickly. Using this product helps stabilise water conditions for a longer time.

AquaGel is a water superabsorbent that absorbs large amounts of water and gradually releases it to plants during periods of shortage. 1 gram of the gel binds about 250 grams of water from watering, rain, mist or dew, thereby increasing moisture availability in the root zone. Water storage in the polymer structure helps protect plants against the effects of drought, reduces the need for frequent watering and lowers the risk of excess watering. The product also improves soil structure, and its durability in the growing medium is about 5 years.

Application and application timing

The product is used when preparing the growing medium for lawns, when planting plants in open ground and in containers, as well as for established plants. It is essential to mix the gel thoroughly with the soil before planting. The 1 kg pack is sufficient for about 66 litres of soil, depending on the proportion used.

Dosage

Lawns: 12-24 g of gel per 10 litres of soil, mix with the top layer of soil about 5 cm thick. In more sandy soils, use the higher dose.

Planting into soil and pots: 15 g of gel (1 measuring spoon) per 10 litres of soil. Cover the plant with the mixture from the sides and from below.

Plants already growing in the ground: dig a hole near the root ball, about 25 cm in diameter and about 60 cm deep. Mix the removed soil with 60 g of gel (4 measuring spoons) and put it back.

Directions for use

The product should always be thoroughly mixed with the soil before planting or placed in the immediate vicinity of the root ball. Follow the recommended doses, as using too much gel may push the plant out of the soil or pot.
