The creamy-white "Brautschleier" astilbe (Astilbe x arendsii) is our proposal for all those who are looking for taller and larger border perennials with decorative blooms and foliage. The astilbe variety presented here is characterised by medium growth strength, reaching 60 cm in height and similar width. It spreads broadly and its erect, densely leaved shoots end with feathery inflorescences. Small, creamy-white flowers, gathered together in form of long ears delight the eyes at the end of June and at the beginning of July. After they would have wilted, you may still admire the shiny, vividly green, odd pinnate leaves, that provide a marvellous background for the smaller border plants.

Roots of the "Brautschleier" false spirea, as this plant is also called, should be planted in the second half of spring. This plant prefers moist, non-drying, humus-rich and slightly acidic soils. It grows and blooms abundantly both in the sun and in partial shade. It needs, however, more watering during flowering period on sunny sites. Substantial size combined with lightness and subtlety of the inflorescences make the "Brautschleier" astilbe to the most beautiful and original plants grown in Poland. This plant winters in the ground without any problems and may be easily propagated through rhizome splitting. It works equally well as a feature and in larger groupings of different astilbe varieties, such as the pink "America", "Bressingham Beauty" and "Erica", red "Feuer", or "Montgomery" and the purple "Amethyst".

One package contains 1 large and healthy rhizome sized 2/3. Plant growing instructions were included in the package information.
