The Barenwyn daffodil produces wonderful yellow flowers that have a large trumpet with a fringed edge. Large and characteristic daffodil flowers are recognized by most people. Daffodils are excellent plants that do not require much care and their attractive flowers always become an object of admiration. They flower as one of the first plants and introduce a cheerful energetic colour to the garden. The up to 40 centimetres tall Barenwyn daffodil easily naturalizes in garden. Pots and bowls in which it appears constitute a wonderful decoration of a balcony or a front door of the house. Bright yellow flowers that appear in March in April please the eye and herald the coming of the spring.

Daffodils should be planted in autumn. Plan the work for the period between September and end of November. Daffodils do not belong to demanding garden inhabitants and thrive in every kind of soil. Plant daffodil bulbs in a fertile, permeable, sufficiently moist soil to guarantee best results. Choose a sunny site or partial shade. Put bulbs into shallow holes that are 10 to 15 centimetres deep. Daffodils that grow for years on the same place should be planted 10 to 20 centimetres apart. Taking care of daffodils is not difficult - these plants are maintenance free. You should only weed the site and water it during periods of drought. Remove wilted flowers after the end of the flowering period to prevent bulbs from wasting energy on producing seeds.

Narcissi who belong to bulbous perennials should be planted on flower beds, lawns, and borders. They are perfectly suited for the beginning gardeners who wish to grow intriguing bulb plant arrangements. They harmonize with trees and shrubs very well. The Barenwyn daffodil looks great within its own variety and in plantings with other plants. You can grow them in planters and for cut flower. Do not mix them in bouquets with other flowers - daffodil stems excrete sap that is harmful to other plants.
