The Pentewan daffodil will take over your garden thanks to its huge flowers and their sunny colour. It is visible from afar and instantly becomes the hero of flower beds and lawns. Stems that shoot from among the long grassy leaves carry six-tepal flowers that have a large funnel-shaped trumpet that is slightly darker than the rest of the flower. This perennial is the spring garden charm personified. Medium sized plants look terrific on flower beds, in rock gardens and in containers. Pentewan daffodils make for perfect cut flowers. Presented variety perfectly fits naturalistic compositions that spread over larger areas.
Narcissi bulbs should be planted in autumn into the soil that has a close-to-neutral reaction. Providing daffodils with a fertile, permeable, yet constantly moist (but not waterlogging) soil results in growing large flowers. We recommend loosening heavy and compact soils with an admixture of sand, fine tree bark, or peat. A mixture of soil and compost works wonders, as it provides the plants with nutrients too. Presented species can grow on the same site for several year but we recommend transplanting the plants to a new site every three to four years. Otherwise, the bulbs would fall too deep into the soil and daffodils cease to appear in the garden in spring.
A single package contains 5 bulbs of the Pentewan daffodil.
