Red beetroot "Cylindra" (Beta vulgaris) is a popular variety that produces sweet roots, which constitute a great base for preserves. Rich content of betanine, a natural dye and an anti-cancer agent, belongs to the most important and characteristic features of this vegetable. The long shelf life is an additional plus. This variety is great for pickling, but it can also be consumed directly, for example in salads.

The "Cylindra" beetroot prefers fertile and light soils, and it should be planted at sites where these conditions are met. Beetroots also like full exposure to sunlight. Sowing should be carried out in the spring: in April, if we plan for an early harvest, and in May, to be able to enjoy ripe, juicy beetroots in autumn. This vegetable is harvested from July to October. Place the seeds approximately 40 cm deep. Please remember that the vegetable is not resistant to temperatures below 0ºC.

"Cylindra" beetroots are rich in sugars and dry matter. When the roots reach the size of a golf ball, it means that harvest may start. A full-grown plant reaches a height of more than a dozen centimetres.

BIO "Cylindra" beetroot comes from organic farming, which is free from GMO. Seeds were produced without the addition of artificial fertilizers and chemical plant protection agents. Everyone, who values a healthy lifestyle should choose our BIO seeds.
